Industrial process water and wastewater: mixed oxidant is the lowest-cost source of chlorine for disinfecting and oxidising process water and wastewater before discharge. Mixed oxidant chemistry is more effective at biofilm control, biochemical and chemical oxygen demand removal, breakpoint chlorination of ammonia, and hydrogen sulphide removal.

Municipal wastewater: as one of the world's most precious natural resources, water reuse is increasingly important. Mixed oxidant is the most cost-effective and preferred technology for disinfecting and oxidising wastewater for reuse or return to the environment, avoiding many of the problems of traditional chlorine disinfection.
